Insurance

"All members are safety officers." They are empowered to safely inforce the rules; to protect themselves, public, and park.

Spectators do not require any special insurance to visit, but are requested to stay away from running models and active flight lines.

To fly, The club and its members, guests, including honorary; shall hold valid and current AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) insurance.
To fly, Visitor's will be requested to provide proof of AMA insurance.

To fly,except as provisioned by the club rules (qualified pilot) within the AMA provision for a limited time safe introduction to the sport.

To join or be a member, one shall hold valid, current, and club board verified AMA insurance.

For the site,The club’s flying site on Hamburg Township property will be covered through the AMA’S insurance policy rider purchased by the club.

Regular Monthly Meetings, Open to the public

February thru December, Monthly club meetings will be on the first Tuesday of the month. 

May thru September, Meetings will be held at the club field.

October thru April, meetings will be at the Hamburg Township Senior Center.

All club meetings are at 7:00pm sharp

Meetings will be conducted in an orderly fashion and where not outlined in the by-laws, shall follow Roberts Rule of Order.

New Membership and Dues

Prospective members will fill out an application for membership. 

Prospective members will attend 2 consecutive meetings to become eligible for any regular following meeting.

Before acceptance to membership, you must have AMA Insurance.

Persons under the age of 18 will be considered junior members and will have parents written and signed consent to join. 

Club Dues are $40.00 for a single member. 

 $50.00 for a family membership. 

There is an additional use fee for the Township of $5.00 per flying member, and a one-time initiation fee of $50.00. 

Club Dues are due the first Tuesday of March. 

Dues and Fees are non refundable.  

Organization

The Hamburg Flyers R/C Club(org.) Inc. is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization.
All material gifts to the club need to be approved by two of the board members.
